In 1980 he founded his own production company, named as Les Films du Loup, but later he has changed its name to Les Films du Dauphin. Later, the company was superseded in 2000 by his co-founding EuropaCorp film company with his longtime collaborator, Pierre-Ange Le Pogam. Today, Luc Besson is associated with more than 50 films, in his 26 years of career as writer, director, and/or producer. The biggest moment for him is- he has declared the John Hughes of action movies, along with his writing screenplays for action movies. Talking about his early life, it was fully aquatic as his parents both worked as Club Med scuba-diving instructors. He got influenced by this milieu, as a child, and later has planned to become a marine biologist. Even, he has spent much of his youth life traveling with his parents almost all parts of the countries, including- Italy, Yugoslavia, and Greece. Later, in his life, the family returned to France when Besson was 10. His parents divorced, and both of them remarried. Besson wanted to become a biologist, but one accident has ruined his entire life.
He then left this career option and joined the entertainment industry. He found that this is the industry which can help him to grow without leaving his interests. In order to accomplish all his dreams, he went back to the Paris and started a journey which has taken him so high. He has directed and produced so many films, including - Subway (1985), The Big Blue (1988), and La Femme Nikita (1990). And, at the same time he was associated with the Cinéma du look film movement. He is known for making several successful thrillers and action films that are visually rich and people loved it.
